  • Tags are characteristics that have been or can be applied to a voter. There are tags that represent vote history, consumer data, top issues, and more. Tags are typically marked by an election year or year of tag collection. Tags are also used inside of Campaign Sidekick when you program your survey. By using the correct tags that match our tagging dictionary, you can ensure that you are able to keep track of your voter contact efforts, support, and issue responses collected in the field. Tags that are aligned with the current tag dictionary will automatically flow back into GOP Data Center, saving you time and effort on uploading information collected from the field. You can view all of the names and definitions of our tags in the CAGOP Tagging Dictionary.

  • Universes are populations of voters who match a select criteria or groups of criteria. Universes are often used by campaigns and organizations to narrow down specific groups of voters into categories and audiences. There are many types of universes. Campaigns often create their own universes based upon different models and voter trends that they see within their electorate.

  • The TRC Code, or Telephone Reliability Code, is the likelihood that a phone number belongs to a voter. It is based on a 9 point scale, with 0 being the least likely and 9 being the most likely. You can use the TRC Code to eliminate any bad phone numbers from your counts to ensure that you are contacting voters with numbers that belong to voters with a high likelihood of being accurate and active.
